Summary of the book The Significance Factor: Six Key Elements That Transform Your Life To Make It Truly Matter by Dr Wayne Pernell
I learned the 6 elements of leading a life of significance, including the idea that you need to be of service to others in order for that to happen.
Here is an idea for you to consider this week.
Idea: Be of service through random acts of kindness
Being of service to the world can live in large things (like serving millions of people through your business), but it can also live in small things and how you impact the people you come into contact with on a daily basis.
One of the small ways you can practice service is through random acts of kindness. At the beginning of the day, put six pennies or buttons in your right pocket. Every time you give a compliment or a gesture of service, move one penny to your left pocket. This exercise offers you concrete evidence of your actions compared to your intentions. Try to move all six by the end of the day.
